Quiet at night! Lulled to sleep by croaking frogs. The road is too narrow and winding for our tastes, plus there was dog poop in front of our trailer in the morning. No, we don't have a dog but there were a couple that were allowed the run of the place. We won't stay here again.
Loved this park! We slept like rocks after a wonderful dinner in the excellent on site restaurant! We'll stay here from now on when traveling through the area.
After too many nights of trying to sleep next to the freeways, we found this park a great relief and spent 5 nights. It's so quiet! Clean grounds, friendly owners. Clear shot at the southern sky for satellite dishes. Laundry facility has two washers and dryers is only downside.
Upside: Wide & long pull-thru sites, our site was level, grass, clear southern exposure for satellite dish, close to shopping, relatively quiet. Downside: Awakened by the free-roaming chickens in the park crowing before dawn, followed closely by the geese honking in the "duck pond." Ask for site away from duck pond.
Nice, quiet park. Open shot at the southern sky for satellite dish. Two comments: "no public display of alcohol permitted" per the rules. And, if the water pressure in your rig seems low, clean or replace your filter. The park is on a well with high mineral content. Water tastes good, but it plugs the filter up. We cleaned our filter every couple of days. We would stay here again.
Upside: park on gravel, but grass with picnic table, pools with slide and toys for kids, good restaurant and bakery, big nice laundromat, friendly staff, open sites for satellite TV and/or internet. Downside: some frontage road and freeway noise.
Upside: good restaurant, Dairy Queen next door, friendly staff Downside: 18-wheelers rolling around, freeway and highway noise, train nearby, laundry is at motel not at campground and not an easy walk with a full basket of laundry, dusty
After reading previous reviews, we were very pleasantly surprised. We requested a pull-thru, and they are in a very nice part of the park. Yes, there are less desirable spots, but the pull-thru area is nice and has a view of the mountains to boot. The sites are grassy, it's quiet and people were having a blast cooling off in a pond adjacent to the office that appears to be part of a river. There is a nice play area for children. We would definitely stay here again if we were going to visit this area.
Grassy sites, friendly owners. Extra charge for WiFi ($2/day) and cable TV ($1.50). We were in site 27 and our kids were in site 26, which worked like buddy sites where both of our doors opened to a common middle area. Great! No problem with awnings or slides, lots of room. Pretty quiet here. Beach access across the street for foot traffic. Vehicle beach access is a short distance in either direction.
New owners August 2005. Nice and helpful folks! Typical small KOA. Tent sites look okay to us, though we didn't use them. Sites for RVs are mostly gravel. Big rig access depends on the driver! LOL We didn't have any problem getting our 35' fiver pulled by one-ton doolie in. If you have a satellite dish, ask for a site with clearance through trees. Call ahead especially for large rigs. Sites available on the waterway.
Guessing on nightly rate, don't have info right in front of me. Check with the park. We love this park and have stayed here 4 or 5 times since buying our trailer in 2004! Back in on the Yellowstone river and watch the birds and animals on the hills. Watched a fisher across the river catch a dozen fish or more. Close to the entrance to Yellowstone. Owners and staff are so friendly. WiFi is now available, which is a big plus! They're planting more trees, too.
